California drought is history

In far northern California Lake Shasta is so full they’re letting water out of the river valves on the spillway, the first time that’s happened in six years.  A panorama of the lake behind the dam.  My wife at the dam.  Shasta Dam was conceived and engineered during the Great Depression and largely built during World War II.  It’s the keystone of the Central Valley project and vital to California’s agricultural sector.
